Lakshmī rose from the churning of the milk-ocean, seated upon a lotus with gold falling from her palms; to dream of her is to be reminded that true abundance is a grace that settles where the heart is kept clean and open.

When gods and demons churned the primal sea for the nectar of life, she rose upon a full-blown lotus, and every being present bowed as light spilled from her serene smile.
