Dreaming of the ocean

Where a river or a pool is a personal feeling, the ocean is the whole deep — the collective unknown, the powers you don't command. A calm sea can feel like awe and belonging; a stormy one, like being small before something enormous.

The sea gods are ancient and moody, generous and dangerous. To dream of the ocean is often to stand at the edge of something much bigger than your daily life, invited to respect it rather than master it.
