Privacy & Cookies

The short, honest version.

No accounts or ads

Mythic Dream has no sign-up or advertising. I do not sell personal data.

The cookies I use

One first-party cookie remembers your chosen language (md_locale). If you accept analytics, another holds an anonymous, random visit counter and your timezone offset (md_visitor) so the dream can gently vary for returning visits, and Google Analytics may set its own _ga cookies. Choosing “Essential only” keeps the visit counter and Google Analytics off.

What I measure

Aggregate, anonymous signals about how the experience is used — which worlds appear, roughly when, and whether people drift off to sleep — so I can make it calmer. It cannot identify you.

Your constellation stays with you

The gods you meet in the dream are remembered only in your own browser (local storage) to build your personal “sky.” This never leaves your device and is never sent to me. Clear your browser data to reset it.

Optional Google Analytics

After you choose “Accept analytics,” Google Analytics measures page views and general technical information such as browser, device type, and approximate region. I do not send it your name or email, and it is not loaded before consent.

Your control

Clear your browser cookies at any time to reset your preference. Choosing “Essential only” keeps the site fully working; you simply won’t be recognised as a returning visitor and Google Analytics stays off.

Your journal is yours alone

Anything you write on the morning page is kept in your browser and nowhere else — I never receive it, and it is never sent anywhere to be matched. The gods it names are found by comparing your words against a list already on the page. Each entry has a “Forget” button, and clearing your browser data erases them all.

The nights you dreamed

Your browser also keeps a short private list of the nights you visited, with the world you walked and the gods in it — that is what the tally and the keepsake card are drawn from. It stays on your device. Making a keepsake card asks my server to draw one, so it briefly sees the names of the world and gods going onto that card, and nothing else about you.
