Lilith

the night creature, she who will not lie down

air

Lilith haunts the wind and the wastelands, a restless night-spirit who fled every roof that tried to bind her; to dream of her is to feel the wild refusal in you that would rather be free and alone than kept and quiet.

Fragments

Given wings instead of a leash, she rose into the storm-dark air, and now she is the cold wind at the shutter that asks, so softly, whether you too long to leave.

She nests where the desert owl cries and the jackal calls its mate, and the old charms nailed above a cradle are only pleas that she pass this house tonight.
