Kālī
the dark mother, devourer of time
fireKālī tramples the demons of ego and dances beyond fear and death; to dream of her is to be shown, fiercely and lovingly, that the terror you flee is a mother's face, and that letting go can be a homecoming.
Fragments
When her dance grew so terrible it threatened to shatter the earth, her own lord lay down beneath her heel, and the moment her foot touched him her fury melted into tenderness.
Wild-haired and garlanded with skulls, she wheels through the burning ground with her tongue out and her eyes ablaze, and the demons she slays become flowers at her feet.
