Love, Beauty, and Desire

Love in myth can welcome, bind, inspire, grieve, or overturn an ordered life. Beauty may be a blessing, a form of authority, or a danger projected onto the one who bears it. This path joins figures associated with affection, desire, music, fertility, and longing while keeping their worlds distinct. Hathor is not Freyja; Oshun and Xochiquetzal cannot be reduced to a shared label. Read for the different kinds of attraction they illuminate, and for the way desire often reveals what a person values before it reveals what they will receive.
