Fūjin

the wind-bearer, keeper of the great bag

air

Fūjin carries a vast bag of winds slung across his shoulders, loosing the gusts that shape the seasons; to dream of him is to remember that even the breath you take was once a wild thing, released by a hand older than the world.

Fragments

It was his breath that scattered the invading fleets and saved the islands, a divine wind loosed from the mouth of his endless bag.

He and the thunder-god flank the great gate, and travellers passing beneath feel the leather sack shift on his back, heavy with unspent storms.
