Fenrir
the wolf that waits for the end
The gods bound Fenrir with a ribbon woven of impossible things, and he waits, jaws agape, for the day the binding fails; to dream of him is to feel a restrained fury testing its chain.
Fragments
Only Týr was brave enough to lay his hand between those teeth as a pledge — and only Týr paid, the moment the trick sprang shut.
The ribbon that holds him was wrought from a cat's footfall, a mountain's roots and the breath of a fish; it will hold until, one day, it doesn't.
